Clydfan is a Grade II listed former miner's cottage with a fully equipped kitchen, electric storage heating, and a modern bathroom with travertine tiles and underfloor heating.

The cottage

Overlooking the river Glaslyn, Clydfan is a cosy stone cottage in the centre of Beddgelert village. Relax in the riverside garden, warm up by the electric log burner on cooler evenings, or step out the door and explore — the mountains, cafes, and pubs are all on your doorstep.

The village

Beddgelert is one of Snowdonia's prettiest villages, set at the confluence of the Glaslyn and Colwyn rivers. The cottage is less than a minute's walk from the village centre with its pubs, cafes, restaurants, and well-stocked village shop. There are riverside walks straight from the door, and the legend of Gelert's faithful hound draws visitors year-round.

Things to do

The Welsh Highland Railway runs through the village, and the Watkin Path — one of Snowdon's quietest routes — starts a five-minute drive away at Pont Bethania car park. The coastal towns of Porthmadog and Caernarfon are within easy reach, along with Portmeirion, Bodnant Garden, Zip World, and the Glaslyn Osprey Project.
